P R O C E S S ::

When contacted, I’ll send you this sheet which (hopefully) answers most of your questions. As much as I’d like, I cannot accept all commissions or art that I’m asked to draw.  Art takes time and I don’t want to rush it. I accept the pieces that interest me or suit my artistic style. I’ll do my best to communicate quickly and please don’t take it personally if I don’t accept your commission. If I accept your commission and you accept the price, we’ll talk (via text, email, phone, etc.) through what you want stylistically and discuss references // inspiration. After we talk I’ll create 2-5 initial sketches (this varies based on the design) and you’ll pick your favorite sketch which I’ll then develop into a final piece. See PT. 7 for information regarding alterations to the final product.

I try not to book more than 3-5 pieces at once. I have a life to live and food to eat and only 24/day. Once a piece is started I will not start other work until yours is finished and you’re happy with your art. This means once it’s started it will take about two to three weeks to finish depending on how many revisions you request. That said, depending on how many commissions I have at that time, your art could take anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months to finish.

For apparel (shirts, hoodies, etc.) I only create Vector art. Vector art means that there is no pixelation and you can print it at any size you want. In reality this means that your art can be printed at a higher quality on your apparel and you’ll be more happy with the final product. Vector art also means that there’s no gradients or mid-tones. Instead, we draw one to three colors in your piece to ensure highest print quality. If you look at my own apparel or portfolio you’ll see what I mean by this. I do shading but it’s all the same color (typically this means cross hatching, stippling, or other methods of one-color shading). Final art is sent via email or Dropbox as an .EPS and .AI file for your convenience.

For custom Logos or Art, I will either create Vector, Photoshop, or .JPG depending on the style of the art. I generally always recommend Vector art but am more flexible for Logos // Art. Final art is sent via email or Dropbox as an .EPS and .AI file or .PSD and .JPG for your convenience.

ART THAT’S PERSONAL, PROFESSIONAL, & UNIQUE

P A Y M E N T S ::

Depending on the commission, situation, and how well I personally know you, payments will either be in full up front or 50% up front 50% at the end. This is up to the artist’s discretion and will be communicated after the initial meeting. You can pay via PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, Cash.

Pricing depends on complexity, detail, size, and colors. My minimum cost is $500. Do not expect to get the minimum cost. Commissions generally range from $500 to $1000+ with the occasional outlier on either side of that scale. I evaluate your concept and based on complexity, detail, size, number of colors, I will price your art individually. Each piece of art is unique and should be treated that way, I never want to create a cookie-cutter design or a piece that’s super similar to someone else’s.

P R I C E  O F F E R S ::

All prices are in US Dollars and any price offer is valid for 30 days. This means I agreed to create your art at this time. No payment = no hard feelings but also no art. This also means that I give your place to the next commission on my list.

PUT SIMPLY: WE MAKE DOPE ART.

As I create your design, I will send 2 – 5 initial sketches to help you get an idea of what you want to create. If you have no idea what you want to create and just want a totally rad sick wicked piece of art this is the time when you’ll get a direction for what you want your piece to look like. After you’ve picked one (in some cases two) sketches you like, I’ll make the final product. That’s it. Your art is done

A L T E R A T I O N S ::

Once I finish your art, you can have 2-4 minor tweaks or adjustments for free but if you want a totally different design it will be considered a new commission and priced as one. This is up to the artist’s discretion. If you like the piece but have a large alteration request it will cost around $20-$100 per alteration. (Remember you have 2-4 small tweaks for free but after that small adjustments will also cost $20-$100).

My art costs what it does because when I’m finished, the art is yours. No questions asked. You can do whatever you want with it: Print it, frame it, burn it, whatever, I don’t care. However, You only own the final product and are not permitted to use any of the process sketches. In fact, I’ll be personally insulted if you ask to use a half-way finished piece of art. I also retain the right to feature your art in my portfolio or online via my website or social media. Other than that, I will never use or sell anyone’s art in any capacity. For example, if I create a custom logo or design for your apparel, you own the design and I won’t sell the art or apparel. If you see that I’ve designed someone’s shirt and want to buy it, contact them, not me.
