P R O C E S S ::
When contacted, I’ll send you this sheet which (hopefully) answers most of your questions. As much as I’d like, I cannot accept all commissions or art that I’m asked to draw. Art takes time and I don’t want to rush it. I accept the pieces that interest me or suit my artistic style. I’ll do my best to communicate quickly and please don’t take it personally if I don’t accept your commission. If I accept your commission and you accept the price, we’ll talk (via text, email, phone, etc.) through what you want stylistically and discuss references // inspiration. After we talk I’ll create 2-5 initial sketches (this varies based on the design) and you’ll pick your favorite sketch which I’ll then develop into a final piece. See PT. 7 for information regarding alterations to the final product.

I try not to book more than 3-5 pieces at once. I have a life to live and food to eat and only 24/day. Once a piece is started I will not start other work until yours is finished and you’re happy with your art. This means once it’s started it will take about two to three weeks to finish depending on how many revisions you request. That said, depending on how many commissions I have at that time, your art could take anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months to finish.

For apparel (shirts, hoodies, etc.) I only create Vector art. Vector art means that there is no pixelation and you can print it at any size you want. In reality this means that your art can be printed at a higher quality on your apparel and you’ll be more happy with the final product. Vector art also means that there’s no gradients or mid-tones. Instead, we draw one to three colors in your piece to ensure highest print quality. If you look at my own apparel or portfolio you’ll see what I mean by this. I do shading but it’s all the same color (typically this means cross hatching, stippling, or other methods of one-color shading). Final art is sent via email or Dropbox as an .EPS and .AI file for your convenience.
For custom Logos or Art, I will either create Vector, Photoshop, or .JPG depending on the style of the art. I generally always recommend Vector art but am more flexible for Logos // Art. Final art is sent via email or Dropbox as an .EPS and .AI file or .PSD and .JPG for your convenience.
